Renegade Études Pearls Rum comes from one of the most modern rum distilleries in the world. With Mark Reynier, known as a whisky entrepreneur, Waterford CEO and former CEO of Bruichladdich, the Renegade rums are now also produced according to the 'farm by farm, field by field, terroir by terroir' principle. The Single Farm Origin Rums represent the Caribbean country of Grenada in terms of taste. The innovative plant allows for separate processing of the individual sugar cane harvests. A sophisticated digital data system makes the sugar cane fully traceable. As with Reynier's wine and whisky creations, the same principle applies to the Renegade rums: maximum transparency in production. Distilled on Pot Stills, neither chill-filtered nor coloured, Études Pearls Rum is made from the fresh sugar cane juice of the Type Yellow Lady and matured in first-fill US casks and premium French oak barrels before being bottled at 55% vol. with glass stoppers.
