Botucal Single Vintage Rum is a blend of distillates that were all produced in one year. Sugar cane honey and molasses are distilled in a ratio of 80:20 using the Pot Still method and then aged for up to 12 years in ex-Bourbon and ex-Scotch barrels. This limited bottling is then finished in sherry casks. Botucal is also known as Ron Diplomatico.
