This Plantation Rum is called Sealander because it is blended from rums from three different countries. Molasses rums from Barbados and Fiji are combined with sugar cane juice rum from Mauritius. Each is matured for several years in ex-Bourbon barrels in the tropical climate of its country of origin. Once in France, Maison Ferrand undertakes a one-year re-ageing in ex-Ferrand cognac barrels in the continental climate. Last but not least, the creation is bottled with an addition of 20 grams of sugar per litre. The end result is fruity, nutty with soft accents of oak.
