The name for Marco Savio's creation is derived from the 'Angel's Share' (which refers to the proportion of whisky that evaporates from the cask during storage), which is widely used in the whisky industry and which the founder quickly renamed 'Demon's Share'. The sugar cane molasses for the rum is distilled in a column still and then The Demon's Share Rum matures for 12 long years in toasted American white oak barrels.
