This Yaku Wari Cask No. 45 rum comes from one of a total of 60 virgin oak casks. It comes from Ecuador's coastal province of Manabi in South America. The exquisite sugar cane juice rum was distilled twice by hand on an original Alambik pot still. It is an insider tip, as it comes from a small collection of barrels and because rums from Ecuador rarely find their way to Europe. In Europe, it was bottled as a single cask at 48% vol. without colouring and not chill-filtered. Yaku Wari means "untamed water" in the indigenous Quechua language. Like Cask No. 2 and Cask No. 10, Cask No. 45 is one of the brand's first bottlings.
