Each bottling over the coming years tells another chapter of the rich heritage of Ian Hunter, who was the last descendant of the Johnston family and ran the distillery from 1908 - 1944. The fifth release in this series features a 34-year-old Single Malt matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. With this bottling, the story of Ian Hunter enters its final chapter, in what is undoubtedly the highlight of the life of Ian Hunter dedicated series. The bottling honours the enduring spirit of his legacy, to which the distillery still pays tribute today. Each whisky in the collection is dedicated to a different aspect of Ian's activity that made Laphroaig what it is today.
