The Maker's Mark Private Select for Kirsch matured in a cask that was customised together with a Kirsch import employee and two emissaries from the Marker's Markd distillery from staves of different cask types. These include Baked American Pure staves, two Seared French Cuvée staves, staves from a Maker's 46 cask, Roasted French Mendiant staves and three Toasted French Spice staves. Thanks to the individual composition of these staves, the specially crafted barrel imparts a dark sweetness and hints of peanut butter to the Kentucky Bourbon.
