Thy Bøg is the smoky whisky from the Danish distillery. Barley and pale ale malt is smoked over beech wood in the old Danish smoking tradition. The single malt is allowed to mature in former Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The Gyrup family estate is home to the distillery, which is located on its own organic farm. All the grains for the production of the whiskies are grown there and there is enough space in their own malt house to produce organic malt for a number of other Danish and international breweries and distilleries. Thy is an idyllic place in the north-west of Denmark, whose landscape and terroir characterise the distillery's bottlings from the field to the bottle.
