The Wagemut Rum PX Cask is distilled in Barbados on Pot Still and Column Stills and was allowed to mature for 10 years in former Bourbon barrels in Barbados. The rum then matured for a further 3 months in former, freshly emptied Pedro Ximénez sherry casks in the Wagemut barrel warehouse in Germany. As small amounts of sherry sometimes remain in the still damp barrels, the rum is given additional fresh, fruity accents bursting with sherry. The Wagemut - PX Cask Barbados is the flagship of the family business from Quickborn, which has made it its mission not to reinvent spirits, but to redefine them. Like all Wagemut bottlings, this rum is also bottled by hand.
