The Don Papa Rum Sherry Cask was first matured for four years in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak, before this was refined for 18 months in four types of sherry casks: Palo Cortado, Fino, Creme and Pedro Ximenez. The result offers delightfully dry, almost nutty aromas with a rich, fruity Taste. Don Papa is one of the few distilleries in the Philippines. However, the island of Negros was still known as the cultivation area for sugar cane until the 1980s, because the volcanic soil with its fertile nature ensures a particularly sweet harvest. So it made sense to found a rum distillery, whose products are now known and loved worldwide.
