The Reserva Exclusiva Rum is the flagship of Botucal's Traditional Range from Venezuela - also known internationally as Ron Diplomático. It is produced in the Dusa distillery at the foot of the Andes near a national park and is a rum blend with a high proportion of sugar cane honey, 80% of which is distilled on Pot Still stills and 20% on column stills. The rum is then aged for 8-12 years in ex-Bourbon, ex-Scotch and fresh American white oak barrels. The result is a fruity Botucal rum with chocolatey facets. A glass is included for tasting in company.
