The molasses rum Bristol Rum Mauritius Labourdonnais Cognac Finish is distilled using the column still method and then shipped to England, where it matures for 10 years in American oak barrels. The distillate then spends another two years in a former cognac barrel. The cool and moist storage of the barrels gives the rum particularly balanced aromas of fruit.
