Produced using unique and sometimes secret methods that have remained unchanged since the 18th century, this 8-year-old rum is the flagship of Hampden Estate Rum's range. It embodies the aromatic complexity and versatility for which the history-rich distillery is renowned. The water for the production is taken from a nearby mountain spring, filtered and reprocessed after use before being returned to nature. The molasses rum is distilled in four copper Pot Stills and matured for 8 years in the tropical climate of the Caribbean island state, which corresponds to almost 25 years of maturation in the European climate. The result is bottled at 46% vol. without added sugar or colouring. Two glasses are included for tasting in company.
